Michael Germano | AIA NCARB
Architect, Managing Principal
Full-time architect, part-time tinkerer, Michael grew up in Cary, NC where his fascination with buildings began at a young age while creating masterpieces in blocks. Prior to becoming an architect, Michael spent several years working on construction sites assembling the designs of others. These experiences helped shape the architect that he is today. Studying sustainability and design, first at Appalachian State University, then at the University of Florida G|SoA CityLab program, he developed a passion for sustainability and innovative construction technologies. Before starting GAi, Michael worked with several award-winning design firms on a variety of project types, including multi-family, community, retail, residential, manufacturing, and internationally recognized design-build projects. Michael is a problem solver, and enjoys the process of architecture.
Kacie Germano | RID NCIDQ
Senior Interior Designer, Principal
Kacie is a native of Florida, growing up in Melbourne, just south of Kennedy Space Center. She earned a B.S. in Interior Design from Florida State University, where she also played clarinet as a Marching Chief. Her experiences working across multiple market sectors, including entertainment, aviation, aerospace, community, commercial, large scale manufacturing facilities and education, has allowed her the opportunity to provide many design solutions. Prior to joining GAi she worked as a facility planner for NC State University, allowing her the chance to get a greater understanding of end user building maintenance and apply that knowledge to future designs. Her desire for each and every project is to bring just a little bit more beauty to the world.
