Michael Germano | AIA NCARB
Architect, Principal
Full-time architect, part-time tinkerer, Michael grew up in Cary, NC where his fascination with buildings began at a young age while creating masterpieces in blocks. Prior to becoming an architect, Michael spent several years working on construction sites assembling the designs of others. These experiences helped shape the architect that he is today. Studying sustainability and design, first at Appalachian State University, then at the University of Florida G|SoA CityLab program, he developed a passion for sustainability and innovative construction technologies. Before starting g|a+i, Michael worked with several award-winning design firms on a variety of project types, including multi-family, community, retail, residential, manufacturing, and internationally recognized design-build projects. Michael is a problem solver, and enjoys the process of architecture.
Jacinta Cofield | CIDA
Interior Designer
From the heart of Windsor, NC, Jacinta emerges as an East Carolina University Access Scholar Alumna.
She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design, while minoring in Business Administration.
Jacinta is currently enrolled online at The Academy of Art University, pursuing a master’s degree in architecture.
Throughout her professional career along the East Coast, she discovered her love for space planning and producing construction documents.
Scandinavian Modern is her go-to style because she loves to focus on implementing elements from nature, as well as incorporating the mix-and-match of sleek, clean-lined furniture.
Her favorite quote is by John W. Gardner: Life is the art of drawing without an eraser. To Jacinta, this means finding beauty in the chaos, and she applies this mindset to all her designs.
